Karen Adams – Plein air artist based in Norfolk

I am a full-time artist based on the North Norfolk coast where the ever-changing landscape serves as a constant source of inspiration. With a love of natural light, I believe that Norfolk’s beauty is best captured en plein air, which is where most of my paintings begin. Whether painting seascapes, vibrant cities, pretty villages or still life, I carry my oil paints on travels across the UK and around the world.

In the past seven years I have had a number of successful solo exhibitions in Norfolk, most recently at The Boathouse, Burnham Overy Staithe, Summer 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Beyond Norfolk my work has recently been exhibited at:-

• 340 Kings Road, Chelsea: ‘Out of the Studio, into the Light’ October 2024.
• Chelsea Art Society June 2024.
• The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition at The Mall Galleries 2022.
